Program Description
The Minor in Integrative Human Health (IHH) helps pre-health profession students to become well-rounded and more competitive applicants for professional and graduate programs. It complements their rigorous basic science education with targeted coursework relating to the physiological, psychological, social, cultural, and economic aspects of human health. The Minor in IHH aims to equip students with: - A comprehensive understanding of human health, emphasizing the modern, “Biopsychosocial” model of healthcare.
- Practical, experiential learning by applying IHH coursework in realistic settings.
- Evidence-based critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the exploration of complex health issues and research.
- An understanding of health disparities and the factors that influence healthcare access and quality of care.
