Course Requirements (18 Credits)

The advanced Astrophysics courses may not be used concurrently toward the Physics major or Physics minor. 

Physics Core (12 Credits)

• PHYS 15200 - Mechanics
• PHYS 25100 - Heat, Electricity And Optics

• OR

• PHYS 26100 - Electricity And Optics AND one credit hour of supplemental laboratory work in PHYS 27000  Special Topics in Physics
• PHYS 34200 - Modern Physics

Advanced Electives (6 Credits)

• Pick two from the following 300-level ASTR courses:

• ASTR 36300 - The Solar System
• ASTR 36400 - Stars And Galaxies
• ASTR 37000 - Cosmology
