This course covers advanced instruction set for programmable logic controllers (PLC) that includes: motion control, cam motion, product tracking, and other instructions necessary for packaging machinery applications. Other topics studied include: animations of packaging machinery systems using PLC emulators; advanced human-machine interface (HMI) layout design, configuration and interfacing HMI units with motion control PLCs: common industrial protocol (CIP) driven servomotor drives and their interface with motion control PLC; intelligent relays, PLC Input/output through CIP.
