PHYS 60000 - Methods Of Theoretical Physics I Credit Hours: 3.00. This course is designed to provide first-year physics graduate students with the mathematical background for subsequent studies of advanced mechanics, electrodynamics, and quantum theory. Topics treated include functions of complex variable, ordinary and partial differential equations, eigenvalue problems and orthogonal functions.
