COM 31510 - Persuasion And Social Movements


Credit Hours: 3.00.  Survey of persuasion in social movement theory including questions of leadership, reform and resistance, and independent political action.  Course considers the historic role that rhetoric has played in selected social movements such as civil rights, evangelism, and trade unionism.  Theories and concepts will be applied to contemporary social movements in US and internationally.
