About the Program

Apply Now We study society, the social worlds in which you live! Through research and publication, in-class teaching, and out-of-the-classroom experiences, sociology faculty at PNW reach out in the best tradition of our discipline’s sociological analysis and community commitment. Students get prepared for a variety of careers both in and outside of the social sciences.

Sociology and criminal justice students create a variety of careers, including: social and case management services; business and marketing; education and teaching; law enforcement and corrections; government; health services; advocacy; and social research.  Many of our graduates also go on to pursue graduate degrees in sociology, medicine, and human services.
