About the Program

Purdue University Northwest College of Nursing offers an accelerated program for non-nurses who possess a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in another discipline. This intense and innovative program is designed specifically for full time, academically talented students, who are mature critical thinkers and motivated to earn a BS degree in nursing in a shortened time frame. This degree prepares a nurse generalist with baccalaureate level nursing competencies that will be able to  provide comprehensive, safe, nursing care for people from birth to death within a variety of  healthcare settings. In addition to preparing students to take the NCLEX state board exam, this degree academically prepares students who wish to pursue advanced degrees in nursing.
