This course can be used as a business elective for BS of Management majors to prepare students to analyze data and solve real-life business problems, using Microsoft Excel as a tool. Moving beyond the basic point and click focus of most computer application texts, it challenges students to use critical thinking and analysis to find efficient and effective solutions to real-life situations. Topics include statistical analysis tools, data visualization and manipulation, logics in decision making, financial analysis, what-if analyses, goal-seek tools, and solver model.
