POL 30800 - United States Foreign Policy And Latin America Credit Hours: 3.00. This course examines US foreign policy toward countries in Latin America. Encompassing an analysis of the US’s historical role in the politics of the Western hemisphere, the course pays particular attention to US foreign policy in the twentieth century. Important themes include foreign policy during the Cold War, domestic insurgency and revolution, and such economic concerns as trade and foreign direct investment. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
