HIST 37400 - United States Economic History Credit Hours: 3.00. (ECON 37500) A study of the growth of the American economy from colonial times to the late 19th century. Emphasis is placed on the application of the tools of economic analysis to historical questions concerning the sources and rate of growth, the relationships between growth and structural and institutional change, and the impact of industrialization on the quality of life in the American economy. Not open to students with credit in ECON 37500. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
