Biological Sciences, BS, Concentration: Biotechnology

Biotechnology provides students with a strong foundation that prepares them for work in industry or further education in a graduate program. Students gain hands on experience in labs and learn how to use equipment that is ubiquitous in modern biotechnology.  Many fields of biology rely on these techniques, including molecular biology, genetics, developmental biology, neurology, genetic counseling, medical technology and microbiology.

Biotechnology Concentration Electives (12 Credits)


Select (4) Biotechnology electives. Take minimum 6 credits from Group A and the rest can be from Group A or B. Maximum 3 credits of biotechnology related independent study, research, and internship can be used to fulfill the minimum 12 credit elective requirement.
