About the Program

The Applied Data Science minor Minor offers a robust technical foundation by merging the mathematical rigor with advanced computational strategies. Students begin by mastering statistical inference and the logic of artificial intelligence before diving into the core techniques and algorithms of machine learning. The curriculum uniquely emphasizes scalability through Large Scale High Performance Systems, ensuring graduates can handle “Big Data” that exceeds the capacity of standard computing.
