Credit Hours: 3.00. Methods of surface and subsurface exploration for site characterization; engineering properties of rocks and soil in practices. Topics include structural failures in rock and soils, ground water, land subsidence, earthquakes, weathering, civil, mining and petroleum engineering related design and environmental problems.
