HIST 55300 - Colonial America, 1600-1776 Credit Hours: 3.00. A study of the expansion of Europe, the age of exploration and discovery, and the establishment of colonies in the New World. Particular attention will be paid to the emergence of an American culture during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the nature of the British Empire, and the emergence of dissent and revolution. This course is the first part of a five-part upper-level overview of American history. Typically offered Spring Fall Summer.
