HIST 12100 - Civic Responsibility Credit hours: 3.00. Developing both an historical awareness of government and of major 20th Century Issues and concerns, and encouraging a sense of civic responsibility for addressing these issues in an ethically effective way. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate an understanding of major themes, topics, and historical events relating to civic responsibility in modern history.
2. Demonstrate familiarity with differing views, and interpretations of civic responsibility in modern history.
3. Demonstrate understanding of how issues of civic responsibility have been viewed in modern history.
4. Demonstrate understanding of the historic role played by a variety of individuals, institutions and events relating to civic responsibility in modern history.
5. Demonstrate their experience in research and writing about civic responsibility in modern history.
