AD 27601 - Basic Sculpture Credit Hours: 3.00. An introduction to the materials and techniques of sculpture, emphasizing a professional approach to content and expression. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Competently use sculpture tools and materials.
2. Execute basic techniques and processes of sculpture.
3. Use formal 3D design concepts and the principles and elements of 3D design.
4. Explain the difference between additive and subtractive techniques in 3D media.
5. Through projects and written work, identify and define sculpture terminology.
6. Orally evaluate art and ideas using appropriate terminology.
7. Evaluate the best choice of materials for executing a personal concept or idea in 3D media.
8. Communicate the history and uses of sculpture in various cultures.
