Topics covered include the trigonometric functions, analytic geometry, laws of sines and cosines, vectors, dot product, conic sections, and rational functions. Credit may not be earned in more than one of MA 14800, MA 15400, or MA 15900. General Education: Quantitative Reasoning Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand and be able to use trigonometric functions, inverse trigonometric functions, analytic geometry, laws of sines and cosines, vectors and the dot product to solve application problems. 2. Learn about conic sections (ellipses, hyperbolas and parabolas) and rational functions.
