Credit Hours: 3.00. Continuation of MA 14700. MA 14800 concentrates on trigonometry. Not open to students with credit in MA 15100 or MA 15400.
Course Learning Outcomes
1. Understand radian measure, with conversion to and from degrees, and its application to arc length and area of a sector. 2. Understand the forms of sine curves, with period, amplitude, and phase shift. 3. Understand basic properties of exponential and logarithmic functions. 4. Understand the basic arithmetic of complex numbers, together with polar form and its properties.
