Credit Hours: 3.00. MA 14700 and 14800 is a two semester sequence in algebra and trigonometry for students in technology. The emphasis is on technique and problem solving. MA14700 concentrates on topics in algebra. NOT open to students with credit in MA 15100 or 15300. General Education: Quantitative Reasoning Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand function notation and its use in the substitution of variables.
2. Understand properties of right triangles and their correct application.
3. Add, subtract, and simplify fractions, and solve equations involving fractions.
4. Understand the correct usage of the quadratic formula.
