Credit Hours: 3.00. Using a computer algebra system to solve mathematics problems, learning how to translate mathematical notation and procedures into the language of the computer algebra system. Learning the basic concepts of programming languages, comparing programming concepts with mathematical concepts. Typically offered Fall. General Education: Technology Course Learning Outcomes 1. Students will understand how to define and work with functions using MATLAB expressions.
2. Students will know the basic data types in MATLAB and explain how expressions are stored as data structures.
3. Students will know how to draw two and three dimensional graphs of functions and equations.
4. Students will understand how MATLAB can be used to solve mathematical problems.
