POL 46000 - Judicial Politics


Prerequisite(s): POL 10100 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF D-

Credit Hours: 3.00.  A survey of American judicial processes, including both trial and appellate courts. The external social, economic, and political pressures surrounding courts and the impact courts have on society will be considered.
Course Learning Outcomes
1.  Describe the basic forms and procedures of the state and federal judicial institutions.
2.  Discuss the political and legal roles courts play in the American constitutional system.
3.  Analyze a phenomenon of interest concerning judicial behavior systematically.
