POL 14100 - Governments Of The World


Credit Hours: 3.00.  An introduction to the different systems of government and decision-making found in countries around the world. Explores historical, cultural, and economic sources of variation, and compares differences and similarities across countries.

Course Learning Outcomes
1.  Compare different systems of government across countries and describe theories about how these differences explain political outcomes.
2.  Identify the institutions of a society and explain their configuration and how/why they may change.
3.  Explain how political culture and history structures choices around economic structures, elections, and legislation for different countries.
