AD 32900 - Visual Communication Design II Prerequisite(s): AD 32800 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF D-
Credit Hours: 3.00. A course designed to introduce the continuation of translation of the concept into form with emphasis on corporate visual identity system design. Typically offered in Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the practices of graphic design.2. Demonstrate knowledge of typography, letterforms, typographic syntax and type specification by utilizing in the solving of graphic design problems.3. Demonstrate the use of elements and principles of graphic design, resulting in solved design problems.4. Demonstrate conceptual skills and skill in graphic communication using typography in layout, composition and production.5. Demonstrate the use of tools and equipment by working with sketching implements, MacIntosh platform computers and applications and also presentation materials.6. Apply the creative process by taking a project from conception to final production/presentation utilizing production techniques and skills.7. Exhibit craftsmanship by producing printed presentation of created designs.8. Professionally present work to client or audience.9. Discuss and evaluate the use of typography in graphic design using appropriate terminology verbally and in written form.
