Contemporary problems at the community, society, and international levels, focusing on patterns of social organization and social change in American society, with concentration on such topics as technological militarism and war, poverty, racism, political protest, and cybernation. 1.Describe the cultural, social, and historical dynamics that influence how we construct social problems. 2. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of contending explanations or interpretations of major social problems. 3.Critique proposed solutions to major social problems.
