ANTH 20500 - Introduction To Cultural Anthropology Credit Hours: 3.00. Offers an engaging introduction to concepts, themes, methods, and ethical concerns that guide research and analysis in cultural anthropology. Students will learn how to identify and interpret the complexities of human culture - what makes cultures different, and in what ways are they more alike than we might assume. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Recognize cultural anthropology’s historical legacies and contemporary realities.
2. Identify and explain key concepts in cultural anthropology.
3. Demonstrate understanding of how culture intersects with political, economic, and social institutions, including the relationship between power and inequality.
4. Recognize how anthropological theories and methods can provide insight into contemporary life and human experiences.
