ANTH 10000 - Being Human: Introduction to Anthropology Credit Hours: 3.00. Introduces anthropology’s holistic approach to human nature and behavior. This course uses the tools of cultural, biological, archaeological, and linguistic anthropology to follow the human journey of uniformity and diversity through time and across space. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. General Education: Social Sciences Course Learning Outcomes 1. Describe the basic concepts and applications of anthropology, including biological, cultural, archaeological, and linguistic anthropology.
2. Recognize the deep social and biological histories that have shaped contemporary life.
3. Examine processes of ongoing biological and social change that influence the environment, social organization, language, and other aspects of the world they experience.
