Credit Hours: 3.00. A rigorous and practical treatment of microeconomic and finance theories as applied to managerial decision making. Emphasis on the tools used to analyze the behavior of individual economic units. Topics include: consumer behavior and demand, decision under uncertainty, production and cost, factor demand, market structure. Typically offered Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand and apply modern concepts of consumer’s behavior affecting the choices related to price, income and shifting tastes.
2. Understand and apply the theory of the firm as it analyzes the choices producers face in dealing with resource costs and the competitive landscape.
