EDPS 51800 - Relapse And Recovery
Credit Hours: 3.00. Concepts and overview of relapse and recovery, counseling procedures and techniques, and treatment considerations. The emphasis of the course will be chemical dependencies, including alcoholism. Gambling, sexual compulsivity, and eating disorders will also be explored. Underlying all of these concepts will be a consideration of the impact of recovery and relapse on the individual, family, and culture. There will be an emphasis on breadth of understanding and areas of consensus and controversy.
