Mission
University College at Purdue University Northwest is dedicated to enhancing the learning experiences of undecided and undeclared students. Students in University College engage with dedicated advising, invite-only events, and enroll in an FYE course created specifically for the undecided/undeclared students. The college offers one degree program, the Multidisciplinary Studies Degree.
Application
Admission to University College is based on the following minimum criteria:
Freshmen: High School GPA of 2.30 or above
Incoming Transfer Students: minimum GPA of 2.0 or above from their most recent college or university
Current PNW Students: GPA of 2.0 or above at PNW

- Receive dedicated academic advising versed in all programs throughout the university;
- Enroll in specific First Year Experience course to facilitate declaring an appropriate major;
- Be part of a caring community centered on student success
Student Goals
Students in University College Advising have five primary goals:
- Take classes related to a pathway - or general area of interest - that allow for both exploration and timely degree completion
- Explore their interests and strengths as they relate to majors and careers
- Familiarize themselves with the majors offered at PNW - including the academic content in the major, qualifications needed to declare the major and career opportunities associated with the major
- Connect their interests, strengths, and academic qualifications with a major offered at PNW
- Declare their major within their first 45 credit hours of study
