CHM 11900 - General Chemistry Prerequisite(s): CHM 11100 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- OR (HS) Chemistry GPA 2.0
Credit Hours: 3.00. An introduction to the principles of chemistry and the fundamentals of organic chemistry and biochemistry. Topics covered include atomic and molecular structure, states of matter, acid/base chemistry, solutions, nomenclature, structure, and reactions of organic compounds and biochemicals, including carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins. Intended primarily for students in the Nursing and Integrative Human Health programs but may be taken with the consent of the instructor. Not to serve as a prerequisite for higher-numbered chemistry course. General Education: Natural Sciences
