Credit Hours: 3.00. This class focuses on the history of incarceration as a response to crime in the United States. It will look at types of responses to crime (e.g., laws, regulation, length of incarceration, community service vs. jail time, etc.), changes over time and the impact that both have on society.The issue of recidivism will also be explored.
