Sociology Minor

Minimum credits required for the Minor in Sociology is 15. For all courses in the SOC minor: (1) a minimum grade of “C” is required in order for a course to count toward credit for earning the Sociology Minor, (2) a student may only repeat a SOC course counting toward the Minor a maximum of two times, including all withdrawals and (3) no SOC course counting toward the Minor may be taken as Pass/No Pass.

This Minor can be attached to any Major at Purdue Northwest whose department will allow it. The Sociology Minor may not be pursued by students who complete the Sociology Option for the Bachelor in Behavioral Sciences degree.

Course Requirements (15 Credit Hours)


Elective Courses (9 Credits)


Students must complete at least three (3) Advanced Courses in Sociology at the 30000-level or higher.
