HSCI 23300 - Emergency Pharmacology Credit Hours: 4.00. Emphasis of this course is therapeutic effects, indications, contra-indications, route of administration, dosages, and side effects of medications used in the pre-hospital setting. Techniques of venipuncture, intravenous cannulation, percutaneous injection, arterial blood gas analysis, nasograstic intubation and urinary catheterization are taught. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
