Human Resources Undergraduate Certificate

This practical, six-course curriculum provides courses for a broad-based education essential for today’s human resource professional. Students begin with three core topics in human relations, human resources, and safety. Students choose three additional courses to enhance their current or future careers, among choices such as personnel law, staffing and performance appraisal, training methods, compensation and benefits, labor/management relations and others. Courses for this certificate apply for the Associate’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision with an Emphasis in Human Resources or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. Most courses are offered online; campus classes are scheduled evenings as well as daytime to meet the needs of working adults.

Certificate Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 credit hours must be taken at Purdue University North Central.
  • All certificate track students must meet admission requirements of the College of Business.
  • This certificate plan of study is an entry level, pre-AS degree program.
  • A 2.0 GPA is required to pursue an Associate of Science Degree.
