Credit Hours: 3.00. A study of the major issues and controversies facing police officers. Recruitment, training, new philosophies, strategies, police management, misconduct, accountability, and the future of policing will be discussed. The development of modern policing in America in the past, the present, and future will be discussed. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
